Hello everyone,
We just wanted to drop in for a quick update! 😊
First, we want to sincerely thank those of you who have continued to be patient with us as we work to bring Voyage the 7 Seas to Neverland to life.
We know the lack of communication has been frustrating, especially with this project moving much slower than originally anticipated. We also understand that delays can make people anxious, confused, or even worried that the project has been abandoned. So we want to apologize for any uncertainty our silence may have caused.
Just to be very clear:
This campaign has not been abandoned. This is not a scam. We are, as we always have been, fully committed to completing this deck and getting it into your hands. 🙌
We know words only go so far when a project is delayed. Behind the scenes, we’ve been working to build Mystic Madness into a more resilient business while continuing to complete both campaigns. Our original plan was to produce both decks in parallel, but once we got deeper into production, it became clear that the process required more time, focus, and careful review than expected. We were already expanding beyond relying entirely on overseas deck production, and these campaigns made it even clearer why that mattered. Strengthening the business in more than one direction has allowed us to keep moving forward, keep the path to completion intact, and give each campaign the focused attention it needs as it reaches each stage of production.
Where We Are Now
As many of you know, Voyage the 7 Seas to Neverland launched shortly after our Journey to Oz and Wonderland 2nd Edition campaign. Looking back, we can honestly admit that was ambitious. Maybe a little too ambitious for a two-person team juggling the everyday realities of running a small business. 😅
But please know that this project was never a throwaway idea to us. It was never “just a tarot deck.” And we intentionally chose not to rush it.
Working with our new manufacturer has taken much longer than we originally expected. We are still preparing the artwork for production, partly because the templates we received were not usable for our designs. Because of that, we’ve had to create and adjust our own template format in a way that works for their production process.
Through our previous campaign, we learned that their process requires more time, a lot more clarification, and much more careful review than we anticipated. Our artwork is highly detailed, layered, and complex, and we’ve realized that we need to move slower with them to make sure the final product reflects the quality we had in mind from the beginning.
The good news is that this slower process has taught us a lot.
As we continue dialing in this partnership, we’re building a more reliable long-term production path for Mystic Madness, one that can help us produce our decks at the quality level we want. That matters not just for this campaign, but for the future of our work as a whole.
So while the delay has been frustrating, it has not been meaningless. We have been learning the currents, adjusting the sails, and doing the less glamorous work needed to bring this deck safely to shore. 🏝️
To Those Who Are Frustrated
We understand. Truly.
If you are upset, worried, or disappointed by the delay, we are sorry. We never intended for this project to take this long, and we never intended to make anyone feel uncertain about supporting our work.
We are not a large company with a corporate production team. Mystic Madness Tarot Co. is run by the two of us, and every deck, update, file correction, product decision, and fulfillment step, etc. runs through our hands. That does not excuse the silence, but we hope it helps explain why this process has been so difficult to balance.
It is not unusual for Kickstarter projects, especially highly detailed ones like ours, to experience unexpected delays. We know that doesn't make the wait easier, but it is part of the reality of bringing something new into this world. These projects are not mass-produced retail orders from a warehouse. They are creative endeavors that require a lot of care and attention to detail before they can become real. 🌸
When you backed this campaign, you helped support the creation of something deeply meaningful to us. And yes, you should expect to receive the rewards you pledged for. We do take that seriously. We also hope you can understand that this project is part of a much larger creative journey for our small business, and we are doing everything we can as we see it through.
At this time, your patience, kindness, and continued belief in the project mean more than we can fully express. So thank you. 🥰🙏
Why This Deck Matters So Much to Us
On a more personal note, this deck has taken on an even deeper meaning for us than we expected.
Voyage the 7 Seas to Neverland was always meant to be a deck about shadow integration, emotional growth, lost innocence, adventure, healing, and the strange, difficult process of growing up without losing the magic inside of you. ✨
Ironically, during the creation of this deck, we have been challenged to live through many of those lessons ourselves. We have had to face uncertainty, grief, fear, exhaustion, and the uncomfortable parts of ourselves that only surface when life stretches you beyond what you thought you could handle.
We wanted to share this because our decks are never just "products" to us. There is real energy, heart, and lived experience woven into what we create. 🌙 As our creation evolves, so do we. In many ways, bringing this deck to life has become its own spiritual journey, and our hope is that once it reaches you, it will offer something meaningful for your own journey as well. 🔮🌟
Moving Forward
Now that Journey to Oz and Wonderland is fully in production, with shipping preparations underway and the decks expected to arrive within the month, we are in a position to give Voyage the 7 Seas to Neverland even more direct focus. Our next steps will be centered on getting the artwork and box files properly prepared for production, continuing communication with our manufacturer, and making sure this deck is produced with the quality, care, and intention we envisioned from the beginning. 🤓
We know that trust is built through action, not just words. As this project continues moving toward the finish line, we’ll keep sharing meaningful updates with you as there is real progress to show including a few exciting things we've been working on behind the scenes that we're looking forward to sharing in our next update! 💞

We owe you an update — and honestly, we owe you an apology for the silence. Life has been full in ways we didn't expect, and while we've been heads down working through it all, we know that doesn't make the waiting any easier on your end.
So here's where things stand:
The artwork is nearly complete. What you've backed is genuinely beautiful — we're talking 78+ cards of cinematic, story-rich illustration that we are deeply proud of. We're finalizing the last few pieces including 4 bonus cards that we can't wait to show you. Those are coming in a dedicated update soon — consider it a little something worth waiting for.
The honest timeline: We're not going to give you a date we can't keep. What we can tell you is that we are fully committed to this deck. It will exist. It will be everything we set out to make it. We're just navigating the reality of being a small independent studio doing this the right way — which sometimes means slower than we'd like.
What's coming: Bonus card reveals, behind the scenes looks at the final artwork, and fulfillment updates as we hit each milestone.

A Check-In Before the Holiday Rush

Hello everyone!
Thank you so much for being here with us and holding space while we’ve been deep in the production phases these past couple of months. Before we dive into all the exciting progress, we want to answer something a few of you have already asked:
Voyage will not be arriving before Christmas.
Because of where we are in the production pipeline—and the normal timelines that follow (samples → full production → freight)—delivery will extend beyond the holidays. Everything is still moving forward exactly as intended, just inside that slower, very-detailed part of the process.
We really wish we could hand you this world-in-a-box in time for gifting, but some stages just take the time they take. With that said, we finally have some beautiful things to show you and talk through—so let’s jump in.
🛠 Where Voyage Stands Right Now
Voyage is in that phase where the world-building becomes very real — the lighting, the atmosphere, the emotion in each scene, and how every card fits into the larger story. This is the part where the art stops being images and starts feeling like you’re stepping into another realm.
Here’s what’s been happening lately:
✨ Artwork & Composition
We’ve gone through multiple rounds of refinement—color, detail, texture, world-building, character alignment, everything—so the story feels cohesive and alive from card to card.
This part is honestly our favorite, because it’s where you really feel the soul of the deck coming through.
We’re sharing a few refinement previews below so you can see that evolution yourself 🌊🏴☠️💫
🧪 Working Closely With Our Production Team
This is our first time working with this particular manufacturing partner, so we’ve been extremely intentional with the process.
We’ve sent: foil samples, box samples, paper samples, physical cards, and our full first edition of Journey to Oz & Wonderland — all to make sure the colors, finishes, and physical feel are right on the nose.
These extra steps take a little more time, but this is what sets the entire print run up for success, and we’re already seeing the benefits.
📅 So When Will Voyage Arrive?
Rather than lock ourselves into a fixed date before these last pieces are confirmed, here’s the realistic structure based on the manufacturer’s current pace:
~2 weeks for samples once files are approved
~30 days for full production
~4–6 weeks for freight
The big timeline milestone here is getting everything onto the production calendar before Chinese New Year in February. So ideally we'll get everything into production within the next month. That’s our current focus and push.
Once the upcoming sample stage is finalized, we’ll be able to give you a much clearer, more specific delivery window.
🏝 What’s Been Happening On Our Side
While things move through production overseas, we’ve been building momentum here at home by preparing all the elements we can control, including:
- producing add-ons
- artwork refinements
- testing materials
- packaging workflows
- shipping logistics
- inventory prep
- and improving our production setup here in the studio
It’s a ton of behind-the-scenes pieces coming together all at once, and it’s really exciting watching everything align.
Shipping/Backerkit Surveys 📝
Thank you to everyone who's filled out your Backerkit surveys! It's not too late to get them filled out if you haven't done so yet. 😇
We still plan to charge for shipping as we get closer to actually shipping your rewards (Dec.-Jan.) We'll let you know ahead of time when this will happen.
International Shipping
For our international backers, we are still working out the logistics with our third-party distributor in China in an effort to get your rewards to you sooner with less customs fees overall. We plan to provide an update on costs as we get closer to our shipping phase.
🎁 Looking for a Holiday Gift?
Although Voyage itself won’t be shipping this month, we are shipping our handmade items throughout the holidays.

Hello everyone,
We hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Matt and I decided to take a much needed break these past few days to spend time with our family, and recover from all the work we’ve accomplished so far. 😮💨 There’s still more work ahead of us, but we’re the types to keep our heads down and work until everything is complete. ✍️🙇♂️👨❤️👨💪
At this time, we just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to each and every one of you for making Voyage the 7 Seas to Neverland Tarot a success! 🌊✨ Your support means the world to us, and we’re very excited to fully manifest this deck into reality.
Right now, we’re working closely with the printers to finalize specs and details on all of the artwork, which should be wrapped up in the next few weeks. At the same time, we’re getting a head start on crafting and preparing the add-ons so everything comes together smoothly.
Backerkit surveys will be sent out next month (October), so please rest assured if you don’t see the email for that just yet.
Also, Late pledging is still active for anyone who still hasn’t backed our campaign, so please continue to spread the word. If we’re able to reach $30k, we’ll include the bonus cards in every deck! We’re excited to reveal these cards to you all because they have a special place in our hearts. 🥰

We’re so excited to announce that Voyage the 7 Seas to Neverlandis now fully funded! Thanks to your incredible support, this dream is becoming a reality. 🥰 You’ve all helped us bring this deck to life, and we couldn’t be more grateful. 💜
